A colored photo-etched seat belt set from the Czech maker Eduard for building the model of the Henschel Hs 123 in 1:48 scale. The parts of the STEEL line are pre-printed with a realistic steel effect and are self-adhesive, so they replace flat plastic belts and give the pilot's seat a faithful look. It is not an aircraft model but a detailing accessory; the base kit has to be obtained separately.
The Henschel Hs 123 was a German single-seat dive bomber and ground-attack biplane. Although it was a design of the 1930s, its toughness and its ability to operate from forward strips kept it in combat service into the first years of the Second World War. The open cockpit makes the belts a well-visible detail.
Separate the belts carefully from the fret and clean up the edge as needed. The self-adhesive parts hold on their own; for a permanent joint a small drop of super glue can be added. Shaping them lightly with tweezers gives the belts the look of hanging loosely over the seat.
The accessory is supplied on its own. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
