A photo-etched metal accessory set for a model of the Hunter FR.10 aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Hunter is a British single-seat jet aircraft of the 1950s, recognizable by its swept wing and the clean lines of its fuselage. It served with the Royal Air Force for long years and a number of machines reached foreign operators as well, so its name turns up in color schemes across the world. The FR.10 version is the reconnaissance one: it carries cameras in the nose and came about from the later single-seat machines, so it differs from the fighter form above all in the equipment of the nose.
These are photo-etched metal parts intended for detailing a model in 1:48 scale. Which parts of the machine they complete and in what order they are fitted is given in the instructions enclosed with the set. Which kit the set is cut for is given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the set.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with nippers, because photo-etched parts bend otherwise. Even the remains of the tab out with a file or abrasive paper. Run the bends over a sharp edge or in a bender, always in one pass, because repeated bending tires the metal and the part will crack. The metal parts are not polystyrene, so they are glued with super glue. Degrease them before gluing and before painting and use a primer intended for metal, otherwise the paint will not hold.
The set is for modelers who have worked with photo-etched parts before or want to try it. Tweezers with a fine point and good light both come in handy.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
