The set of the Eduard brand from the resin line brings replacement exhaust stacks for the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane but a detail accessory replacing the simplified plastic exhausts. The resin castings have a faithful shape and suggested hollow openings, which are missing on the usual plastic parts and are well visible at the same time.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter aircraft that played a key role in the Battle of Britain. The Mk.I version was powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine, whose exhausts came out at the sides of the nose and are a striking detail of the machine.
Wash the parts clean of the mold release agent and carefully separate them from the casting block. You will bring the hollow openings out with a dark shade inside. For the faithful look of glowing steel a combination of dark iron, copper and straw paint with a discreet patina suits well.
This is a supplementary set, not a model in its own right. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
