A resin pilot seat for the I-153 Chaika in 1:48 scale from Aires. A detail accessory for experienced modelers; it is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail part, not an aircraft model. The set brings a faithfully cast pilot seat of the Soviet I-153 Chaika biplane, which will replace the simplified plastic part and enliven the cockpit interior. It is intended for kits of this aircraft in 1:48 scale.
The Polikarpov I-153 Chaika was a Soviet single-seat fighter biplane of the late 1930s with a characteristic gulled upper wing (hence the nickname Chaika, meaning seagull) and retractable landing gear. It was deployed in the early battles of the Second World War and in the conflicts that preceded it, and it is among the classics of Soviet interwar aviation.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release residue from the mold. Cut off the casting blocks carefully with a saw and level the surfaces; wear a respirator when sanding resin, as the dust is harmful. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with ordinary plastic cement. Apply a base primer before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
