The Aires IAI Kfir C-2/C-7 exhaust nozzle 1:48 is a resin add-on set with a finely cast engine exhaust nozzle for the Israeli fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory from the maker Aires is not an airplane model but a detailed resin replacement for the exhaust nozzle for building the Israeli IAI Kfir fighter in the C-2 and C-7 versions in 1:48 scale. The cast nozzle faithfully captures the inner as well as the outer shaping of the rear end of the engine, which tends to be simplified on injection-molded parts.
The IAI Kfir is an Israeli multirole fighter derived from the airframe of the Dassault Mirage. It is powered by the American General Electric J79 jet engine, whose characteristic exhaust nozzle is a prominent feature of the rear end. The C-2 and C-7 versions are among the widespread variants of the type.
Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The inside of the nozzle stands out with metal shades and a light heat discoloration. We recommend a base of primer.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
