1:48 Japan seat belts WWII type 2 brings a Japanese aircraft harness of pattern 2 from the Second World War period in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set rounds the cabin of a Japanese wartime aircraft out with a safety harness and is prepared in 1:48 scale. The number type 2 in the name tells this particular pattern apart from the other Japanese variants the manufacturer offers alongside it.
The Japanese air arms did not have uniform equipment across all factories during the war. Naval and army machines differed in the layout of the straps, the shape of the buckle and the way they were attached to the seat, according to the maker of the aircraft and the period of production. On naval carrier types such as the A6M or the D3A the cabin was excellently visible under a long sliding canopy, so the harness is among the features everyone notices on a finished model. Which pattern belongs to a particular machine is told reliably by period photographs of the pilot's station or by interior documentation for the type.
Work in the order of seat, weathering, and only then the harness. Set a strap from the buckle outward, so that you keep the most conspicuous point of the whole assembly under control. Japanese interiors tended to be toned toward greens and browns, so the straps stand out when you keep them a shade lighter than their surroundings. At the end unify the whole seat with a matte overcoat and leave the sheen only on the buckle.
