The resin detail set Ju 87 Stuka control surfaces in 1:48 scale from the Aires company. This is not an airplane model but a set for experienced modelers that replaces the movable control surfaces from the base kit with faithfully cast resin parts with a suggested ribbed fabric structure. It makes it possible to show the control surfaces in a deflected position and so bring the finished build to life.
The Junkers Ju 87, nicknamed the Stuka (after Sturzkampfflugzeug, a dive bomber), is a two-seat dive bomber with a characteristic inverted gull wing and fixed landing gear in wheel fairings. The control surfaces were made up of the rudders and the flaps with fabric covering over a metal frame.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply a primer, spray the paints with an airbrush and pick out the ribbed structure of the surfaces with a gentle wash. Before fitting them, check the fit with the wings and the tail of the particular kit.
