DEF Model 1:48 KEPD 350K TAURUS Missile Set is a resin set of a long-range guided missile for a model of the F-15K aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for an aircraft model, not the model itself. The set brings a KEPD 350K Taurus guided missile cast in resin in 1:48 scale, meant to go under the wing of an F-15K model. The casting holds the angular cross-section of the body, the sharp leading edges of the lifting surfaces and the fine surface lines markedly better than a simplified part from a mold. The manufacturer also sells the same missile in a double pack, so you can choose the extent you need according to the model on the bench.
The Taurus KEPD 350 is an air-to-ground guided missile with a range in the hundreds of kilometers, developed jointly by German and Swedish industry for destroying fortified and deeply buried targets. It flies low over the terrain and holds its course with an inertial unit supplemented by matching the shape of the landscape, which makes it resistant to jamming. The Republic of Korea Air Force introduced a modified version under the designation KEPD 350K, and the carrier is the F-15K Slam Eagle, the two-seat Korean form of the F-15E Strike Eagle. The missile is among the most striking elements of this machine's external load.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry, so that the paint holds on them. Cut off the remains of the casting block with a saw and level the surface, then join with super glue. Spray the missile separately away from the model, so that the paint also reaches the lifting surfaces, and fit it to the model only at the end. Bring out the panel lines with a thin dark shadow and even up the surface with a matte varnish, which matches the look of real ordnance.
This is an accessory set in resin. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
