A Hauler photo-etched set for the German Kfz.69 Krupp tractor with the 37 mm antitank gun in 1:48 scale is an accessory for a plastic kit you have already bought, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket set of photo-etched parts from the Czech maker Hauler for the kit of the German Kfz.69 light tractor with the antitank gun. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory for a model you obtain separately. The parts are designed for the Tamiya kit.
The Kfz.69 was a German light truck with three axles, used in the Second World War among other things as a tractor for the 37 mm light antitank gun and as a carrier for its crew. The combination of an open body, tarpaulin bows, benches and the towed gun gives the model a great quantity of small sheet-metal and frame elements that photo-etch can render more faithfully than plastic.
With photo-etch the amount of glue decides more than its brand. Never glue straight from the tube. Squeeze a drop onto a piece of old plastic or kitchen foil and apply it with the end of a piece of wire, with a pin or with a piece of stretched sprue - a volume barely visible to the eye belongs on the joint. Surplus super glue creates a white bloom on the surrounding plastic and floods the fine etched structures. For parts you need to position for a moment use the slower, thicker variant of the glue; for instant fixing, by contrast, the thin kind, which runs into the seam by capillary action.
First a dry run, then degreasing with spirit, a primer, the paint and only at the end the most fragile parts. Paint the frame of the gun and the shield separately from the vehicle, as the assembly is then easier to mask.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit; it is not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
