Responsibility details are not available.
This cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is intended for a plastic model of the Japanese army interceptor Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki, known to the Allies under the code name Tojo. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields with no lengthy hand-cutting of tape.
The Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki is a Japanese single-engine interceptor of the Second World War with a radial engine. Unlike the agile Japanese fighters it was tuned for high rate of climb and speed at the expense of maneuverability, which made it an effective tool against high-altitude bombers. It was also used in the defense of the Japanese home islands.
First degrease the canopy glazing. Lift the masks off the backing and place them on the cockpit frames, press them into the edges and fill small gaps with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at a sharp angle so that the fresh coat does not tear away.
The package holds only the masks. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
