A resin detail set from Quickboost with improved exhaust pipes for a model of the Japanese Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu heavy fighter in 1:48 scale. The one-piece castings have open mouths and a fine texture that injection-molded plastic cannot reach. It is an accessory for a kit, not an airplane model.
The Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu was a twin-engine heavy fighter of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force from the time of the Second World War. It was used as a day and night fighter and against heavy bombers. The exhaust pipes belong on the engine nacelles and are clearly visible both in flight and on the ground.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. The exhaust mouths come out with a dark metallic shade and a light emphasis on rust and scorched edges.
The kit itself and glue are not included in the package.
