About product

Eduard 1:48 Ki-84 Hayate

A set of precisely shaped spray masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for models of the Japanese fighter Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate in 1:48 scale. The masks are die-cut from yellow kabuki (washi) tape, which holds well even on curved surfaces and leaves no adhesive residue when removed. This is not a paint or a kit, but an aid for quick, clean masking.

Use

  • The masks are peeled off the sheet and applied to the cockpit frames according to the shape of the glazing.
  • Open areas of the glazing are covered with tape or masking fluid, and the cockpit frames are then sprayed.
  • The set usually also includes masks for the wheel hubs, for a clean transition onto the tire.
  • Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed, revealing sharp, straight edges.

Who it is for

Ki-84 modelers who want clean, straight cockpit frames without laborious hand-masking will appreciate this accessory.

The masks are not paint or a model; the kit itself and paints are not included in the package.
