This is not an aircraft model, but an accessory photo-etched exterior set from Eduard. It focuses on the exterior details of a plastic model of the Czechoslovak jet trainer L-29 Delfin in 1:48 scale. The fine metal parts refine the surface and small fuselage and wing elements that are difficult to capture in plastic.
The L-29 Delfin is a two-seat Czechoslovak-designed jet trainer, one of the most widely used trainers among Warsaw Pact countries. It served for decades in both basic and advanced pilot training. The exterior set helps carry these characteristic exterior details more accurately onto the model.
The etched parts are removed from the fret, bent precisely according to the instructions, and glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Tweezers, a sharp knife and a photo-etch bending tool come in handy. Once glued, the parts can be sprayed along with the rest of the model. The set is designed for use with the L-29 Delfin kit in 1:48 scale.
The set does not include a plastic model, glue or paints – these must be purchased separately.
