Eduard 1:48 F-35A Lightning II, a RAM Coating Late mask set is a set of kabuki masks for painting the panels of the radar absorbent coating of the late F-35A version. Intended for the Italeri kit.

This is not an aircraft model but a mask set from the Czech maker Eduard intended for plastic models of the Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II fighter in 1:48 scale. The set is die-cut from Japanese kabuki (washi) tape and serves to mask off the panels of the so-called RAM coating (Radar Absorbent Material) accurately, which on the surface of the F-35A has a subtly different shade from the areas around it. The target kit is Italeri.
The real F-35 has its surface covered with panels and borders of the RAM layer that are somewhat darker or more matte than the base finish. The masks make it possible to spray those areas in a second shade with crisp edges, without slow measuring and cutting of tape. The Late designation matches the later arrangement of the panels.
