A detail set from Quinta Studio for models of the Westland Lynx Mk88A naval helicopter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of the helicopter but a collection of fully colored 3D raised decals on decal paper, complemented by several 3D-printed resin parts. It will replace the flat parts of the cabin with a faithful three-dimensional, colored interior.
The decals are made by 3D printing, have real relief and are pre-colored, including the instrument panels, the displays and the texture of the seats. They are applied as wet decals: once soaked, they slide off the paper onto the part; the resin additions are glued with cyanoacrylate. Hand painting of small details is thus no longer needed. A clean, smooth surface is recommended; do not use a decal softener or a decal setting solution, as they attack the printed resin.
The Westland Lynx Mk88A is a variant of the British multirole naval helicopter operated by the German Navy, intended above all for anti-submarine warfare and reconnaissance from the decks of ships. The intricate cockpit is a rewarding place for detailing.
The set contains interior 3D decals and resin parts, not a model of the helicopter. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
