An accessory set for the M8 armored car in 1:48 scale, eight resin parts according to the name. Intended for the Tamiya 32551 kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M8 is an American six-wheeled armored car of the Second World War, known in British service under the name Greyhound. It was used mainly for reconnaissance and for rapid moves, where mobility counted for more than the strength of the armor. The turret stayed open at the top, so on a finished model you can see into the fighting compartment and every extra detail shows at first glance.
An accessory set for a model of the M8 in 1:48 scale. According to the name it consists of eight resin parts and is intended for the Tamiya kit with the part number 32551. The placement of the parts and the procedure for fitting them are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The resin parts are not polystyrene and ordinary model cement will not hold on them. Use cyanoacrylate glue, and two-part epoxy on larger contact areas. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest with a fine abrasive so that the part lines up with the kit plastic. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and degrease them, otherwise the paint holds poorly. A thin coat of primer pays off even when you spray the rest of the model with acrylics.
The set is for modelers who want to take their M8 in 1:48 scale further than the contents of the box allow and who do not mind working with resin. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
