Responsibility details are not available.
This set of color 3D decals from Quinta Studio replaces flat cockpit parts with raised, pre-colored detail printed on a flexible film. It usually contains the instrument panel, the side panels and the seat belts. These are neither etched metal nor a casting: the parts are printed on backing decal paper and are applied in water like a conventional wet decal. The set is intended for Macchi C.205 Veltro models in 1:48 scale. The decals are shaped for the parts of the Hasegawa and Italeri kits.
The Macchi C.205 Veltro was the ultimate Italian fighter of the Second World War, developed from the C.202. A more powerful inverted V12 derived from the license-built Daimler-Benz DB 605 and heavier armament made it an equal opponent for the Allied fighters.
Cut the part out of the sheet, soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and, once it has come free, slide it off the backing paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own, so first spray the surface underneath and go over it with a gloss clear coat, on which the part will hold; on complex areas a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as that chemistry attacks the printed resin. Press the part carefully into the detail with a cotton swab and blot the excess water away.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
