MH models 1:48 airbrush masks for the French roundels of the Marcel-Bloch MB-152C.1 fighter. A set of templates for spraying the national insignia; they are neither decals nor a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A roundel is the most thankless thing for a decal: concentric circles immediately give away the slightest shift of color as well as the edge of the carrier film. The MH models set gets around this problem, because you apply the paint directly to the model through a self-adhesive template. The resulting roundel has sharp transitions, no extra gloss and it will take later weathering and matting. The set is prepared for a particular MB-152C.1 kit in 1:48 scale; before ordering, check that it matches the model you are building. The exact contents of the sheet are stated on the box.
The Marcel-Bloch MB-152 was a French single-engine fighter with a radial engine, all-metal construction and a stocky fuselage. The letters C.1 in the designation correspond to the French custom for marking single-seat fighters. The type entered service shortly before the fighting of 1940 broke out and was among the most numerous French fighters of that time, even though more modern designs surpassed it in speed.
Work in layers, from the lightest color to the darkest, and let the paint really dry between the individual steps. Always press the template down thoroughly around the perimeter of the cut-out, otherwise paint runs underneath and the edge is blurred. Spray perpendicular to the surface and rather in three thin coats than in one heavy one. Take the mask off while the paint is still fresh, slowly and at an angle. If you are painting onto a smooth base, the roundel then looks as if it were part of the factory finish.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
