Resin wheels for the CH-53 Sea Stallion in 1:72 in the early version, with weighted tires. An accessory for a plastic kit, not a helicopter model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin wheel set for the CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopter model in 1:72 scale, in the version the manufacturer describes as early. It is not a helicopter kit but an accessory that replaces the wheels from the plastic kit. The tires are cast as weighted, that is with a flattened contact patch.
The Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion is an American heavy transport helicopter introduced in the mid-1960s. It carries troops as well as slung loads and its landing gear is sized for a high takeoff weight, so the tires are visibly squashed on the ground. The later three-engine CH-53E Super Stallion is a separate subject. The landing gear parts changed during production, which is why the manufacturer distinguishes an early and a late wheel.
For helicopter modelers in 1:72 who are building the earlier version of the CH-53 and want landing gear that matches the weight of the real machine. The wheel is small in this scale, but that is exactly why the flattened contact patch stands out. Check the contents of the package on the box.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
