Cut self-adhesive New Ware masks at the EXPERT level for the model of the American carrier-based anti-submarine aircraft Grumman Guardian in 1:48 scale. New Ware grades its sets by extent: BASIC covers the basic areas, above all the glazing, while EXPERT is the most complete level, which as a rule adds masks for further parts of the airframe and thus speeds up the preparation for painting as much as possible. The exact extent of this set is shown on the box.
The Grumman Guardian was the first US Navy aircraft designed specifically for anti-submarine warfare from the deck of a carrier. The machines operated in hunter-killer pairs: the AF-2W version carried a massive search radar in an under-fuselage housing, while the AF-2S attacked with weapons and a searchlight; the later AF-3S also received a magnetic anomaly detector. Guardians served in the first half of the 1950s, among other places in the Korean War.
