1:48 Mask MiG-25PD BASIC (ICM 48903)

1:48 Mask MiG-25PD BASIC (New Ware)

This is a masking set, not an aircraft model. It contains pre-cut (die-cut) self-adhesive masks in fine yellow kabuki tape that follow the shape of the glazing and other parts of the MiG-25PD model in 1:48 scale exactly. The BASIC level is the entry version of the New Ware line and concentrates on what matters most: masks for the outer faces of the cockpit canopy and masks for the wheels.

The real subject

The MiG-25PD was the improved interceptor version of the Soviet supersonic MiG-25 Foxbat. It was notable for its new radar and engines and its ability to reach high speeds and altitudes. Its robust, angular silhouette makes it a striking subject for collections of Cold War equipment.

Use

• Apply the masks to cleaned and degreased glazing before spraying the frames.
• Kabuki tape adapts well to curved surfaces and comes off cleanly after spraying.
• The wheel masks give a sharp boundary between rim and tire.
• Any adhesive residue can be removed with a mild degreaser.

Who the set is for

• Modelers who want sharp transitions without tedious cutting of tape.
• Builders looking for a quick way to mask the glazing and the wheels.
• Beginners and advanced modelers alike working with this particular model.

The set does not contain paints, glue or the model itself. It serves only as an aid for painting.
