1:48 Mask Su-30 MKK Flanker G EXPERT (HOBBYB)

The Su-30MKK Flanker-G EXPERT mask in 1:48 scale from New Ware

The EXPERT form is the highest grade of extent of the mask set for the Su-30MKK model. The contents are a self-adhesive film with precisely cut shapes that are applied to the parts of the model before the paint is sprayed. The set is an accessory for a build; neither a kit nor paints are in the package.

When to reach for the highest grade

The widest extent pays off if you want to spray as many surfaces as possible and cover as few as possible with a decal. On a large twin-engine aircraft with a two-seat cockpit there are plenty of masked surfaces, and cutting tape by hand into the curves of the canopy takes more time than the spraying itself. The wider extent compared with the basic form corresponds to a larger number of cutouts.

Working with the film and keeping it

• Store the sheet flat in an envelope; a crease at a cutout ruins a mask.
• Let the film warm to room temperature before use, as a cold one adheres less well.
• Leave the unused masks on their backing sheet and return them to the dark, as sunlight dries the adhesive out.
• If you use only part of the set, note on the envelope which shapes are left, so that you find them more easily next time.
• Do not touch the adhesive side with your fingers before applying it, as grease from the skin reduces the tack.

Who the set is for

For modelers who take a build down to the detail and want to be finished with no touching up by brush. It will be appreciated above all by those who display a model and look at it from close up, where the difference between a spray and a covering decal is apparent.

The package contains masks only. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery.
