This set from Reskit holds four Matra Durandal anti-runway bombs in 1:48 scale. It is a resin, 3D-printed detail accessory for models of combat aircraft, not a model in its own right. The package tends to come with a decal sheet as well. Working with resin is intended for more experienced modelers.
The Durandal is a French anti-runway bomb with rocket boost, designed to punch through and damage concrete runways. After release a parachute slows it down, then the rocket motor drives the bomb into the concrete, where it explodes once it has penetrated. The weapon was carried by a number of Western combat aircraft, including types of French design, and it was exported to further countries.
Wash the parts, cut off the print supports and protect your breathing while sanding. Glue the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Undercoat the bombs with primer and paint them with an airbrush; bring out the tail section and the markings. The set gives a model faithful external stores for strike missions.
This is a resin detail accessory for another model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
