Quickboost 1:48 Me 410 propellers with a jig is a resin set of cast propellers for a model of the German heavy fighter Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse.
Responsibility details are not available.
This cast resin set from Quickboost, made by Aires, brings faithfully cast propellers for a model of the German twin-engine heavy fighter Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers, which replaces the plastic propellers with a crisper casting with the correct blade profile.
The Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse was a German twin-engine heavy fighter and fast bomber deployed in the second half of the Second World War, the development successor of the unsuccessful Me 210. It was powered by a pair of Daimler-Benz DB 603 inverted V12 engines with three-blade propellers. It made its mark above all against formations of Allied bombers, but it fell behind in combat with light single-engine fighters.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent to remove any mold release agent from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the cut faces with respiratory protection. Bond the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), not with cement for plastic. When assembling the blades, use the enclosed jig, which ensures the correct and symmetrical angle.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
