A resin detail set from the Aires company in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a faithfully rendered Lockheed C2 ejection seat meant to improve a plastic kit of the F-104C Starfighter fighter. The casting replaces the simplified plastic seat with detail of the harness, the handles and the cushions. The set is intended for experienced modelers.
The F-104 Starfighter is a single-seat single-engine supersonic fighter with a very thin wing. The F-104C versions used the Lockheed C2 ejection seat. The seat is clearly visible in an open cockpit, so rendering it in detail has a marked effect on the finished model.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand with respiratory protection. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the seat in base shades, pick out the harness and the handles separately and bring the details to life with a wash and a dry brush.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unpainted and unassembled, without the target kit, glue and paints.
