A set of self-adhesive painting masks from Eduard in 1:48 scale for Messerschmitt Me 410A-1 models. The masks are precisely cut from quality yellow masking (kabuki) tape and are used to mask the canopy glazing quickly and cleanly when spraying paint.
The pre-cut shapes follow the frames of the pilot canopy exactly, so a sharp, straight boundary forms between the frame and the glass, with no overspill. Kabuki tape clings well even to curved surfaces, paint cannot bleed underneath it, and once the paint is dry it comes off easily with no adhesive residue. The most time-consuming part of painting the glazing is done in a few minutes.
Lift the parts off the sheet with pointed tweezers or the tip of a scalpel and place them on the model dry; press the edges down well. You can paint the inner surfaces of the glazing in the interior color before applying the masks. After spraying, remove the masks while the paint is still fresh, so that it does not flake along the edge.
The masks do not include paint or glue; this is an accessory for a plastic model, which is sold separately.
