The injection-molded plastic kit Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6/AS (Weekend edition) in 1:48 scale from Eduard, the altitude-optimized late version of the legendary German fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6/AS fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. The Weekend edition is a simplified boxing aimed at a quick and straightforward build: it holds Eduard's plastic sprues and a set of decals, without the photo-etch and masks usual in the ProfiPACK edition. Check the exact package contents and the number of marking options against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Bf 109 was among the most important fighter aircraft of the Second World War and formed the backbone of the German fighter force. The G-6/AS version was optimized for altitude: it received an altitude-rated engine of the DB 605AS series with larger superchargers, which improved its performance at high altitude. These machines came into their own above all in the defense of the Reich's airspace against Allied bombers and their escorts.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Paint the cockpit and pick it out before you close the fuselage up, and mask the clear canopy while spraying. Lay down a primer and the paints with an airbrush, apply the decals over a gloss coat and bring out the panel lines with a wash. Late machines often carried mottled camouflage; add appropriate late-war wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
