This is a resin detail set from the Brassin range by Eduard. It is not an aircraft kit but a set of castings that you add to your Bf 110G-4 night fighter model under construction in 1:48 scale in place of the plastic parts. The set adds the characteristic installation of obliquely upward-firing cannon known as Schräge Musik and is meant for advanced modelers who want to raise the fidelity of their model.
Schräge Musik was a German weapon installation of cannon aimed obliquely upward, which night fighters used to attack Allied bombers from below, outside the field of fire of the defensive turrets. The Bf 110G-4 was among the most widespread Luftwaffe night fighters of the second half of the war, and this modification gives it its typical period look.
First wash the resin parts free of any remaining mold release agent, cut them carefully from the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Use respiratory protection when sanding. Check the fit before gluing and spray the parts with primer so that the paint holds well.
This is a supplementary set, not a model on its own. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
