An interior set from Quinta Studio for the Mi-24P attack helicopter in 1:48 scale. It holds the equipment of both cockpits rendered in color beforehand on decal paper and is completed with resin parts, which add three-dimensional elements where a flat print is not enough. This is the full version of the set, that is the largest extent the brand offers for this machine. The set is intended for the Trumpeter kit.
The letter P in the designation refers to the fixed twin-barrel 30 mm gun on the right side of the fuselage. It replaced the movable turret with a rapid-fire machine gun of 12.7 mm caliber that the older V version carried. Firing a fixed weapon calls for aiming the whole machine, but the penetration against armored targets is incomparably higher. From the outside the difference is unmistakable, and when building a model it shows in the form of the forward cockpit of the weapons operator as well.
The parts are separated from the sheet and transferred much like decals, after soaking and with enough time to adjust the position. Spray the base under them with the shade of the cockpit and let it cure thoroughly; on fresh paint the part slides. Once dry, unify the surface with matte varnish and, conversely, go over the instrument faces in spots with gloss, so that they come across as glass.
The Mi-24P set only completes a model - you obtain the plastic parts, paints and glue separately.
