First paint the base, let it dry, rid it of dust and grease and coat it with a gloss varnish of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type, on which the item will take hold. Soak the cut-out part in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds, slide it off the paper into place and press it down with a cotton swab; on a broken-up surface a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution; their chemistry damages printed resin. A drop of gloss varnish suits the finished area and gives the display the impression of glass.
