An interior set printed on decal paper, which carries both color and three-dimensional relief. It is glued onto the plastic parts of the model and replaces the painting of the instruments, the lettering and the upholstery. It is an accessory; the model itself you buy separately.
Photo-etched sets can refine an interior, but they mean working with metal: the parts have to be cut off, bent, glued with super glue and then painted. Printed 3D decals go about it the other way round. They bring the color and the shading ready made, they have the relief embossed in the print itself, and they get onto the model with water. For a modeler who does not get on with photo-etch this is the quickest route to a full cockpit. The set is cut for the Trumpeter model; for the same type the manufacturer also releases a version for the AMK kit.
Once dry the print is stable and stands up to ordinary handling of the model. Three things harm it: long spells of direct sun, grease from the fingers and mechanical pressure on the relief. Hold a finished cockpit by the edges of the part, then, and keep it in a display case away from the windowsill. Store the unused part of the sheet dry and in the dark.
