Quickboost 1:48 MiG-23MF Remove Before Flight covers: resin covers and plugs with warning tags for the MiG-23MF model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin covers and plugs with Remove Before Flight tags from the Quickboost brand (a range of the Czech manufacturer Aires) for the model of the MiG-23MF fighter in 1:48 scale. The small red tags scattered over the airframe are exactly the detail a viewer stops at: they tell you the machine is secured between flights, and they contrast beautifully with a bare metal gray finish as well as with camouflage. They go superbly with the intake covers to make up a fully buttoned-up machine.
The MiG-23MF was the export fighter variant of the MiG-23 with a variable-geometry wing; the Czechoslovak Air Force took it on in the second half of the 1970s, and the machines served there until the early 1990s. The ground crew protected the pitot-static sensors, the probes and the openings of a parked machine with covers carrying warning tags that had to be removed, and that is where their internationally familiar name comes from.
Separate the very fine castings with a razor saw and glue them with the tip of a toothpick using a minimum of super glue. Paint the tags a deep red and lighten the edges slightly; a slight bend in each tag in a different direction looks lively. Fit the covers only onto a completely finished model, after the clear coat and the decals.
This is an accessory set: the model of the airplane, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
