This Quickboost set (a range of the Aires company) holds resin covers for the exhaust nozzles of the MiG-29A fighter in the type B variant, in 1:48 scale. The nozzle covers were fitted over the engines of parked machines and are a conspicuous detail. This is an accessory for a kit, not a stand-alone model.
The Mikoyan MiG-29, with the NATO reporting name Fulcrum, is a twin-engine supersonic fighter developed in the Soviet Union and in service with a number of air forces from the 1980s onward. Protective covers for the engine nozzles shielded the sensitive parts of the power unit when the aircraft was not flying. The rendering differed between individual machines, which the type B variant allows for.
Wash the mold release agent off the castings, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways while sanding. The covers are usually painted in a bright warning color, which can be completed with lettering and a little grime.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
