The mask set Eduard 1:48 Mikoyan MiG-35 for covering the glazing of a model of the Russian multirole aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of masks in 1:48 scale for a model of the Russian multirole combat aircraft. It covers the glazing so that it stays transparent after finishing and so that the frames get a crisp edge with no ragged transitions. Behind the set stands Eduard, a maker of photo-etch, masks and accessories from Obrnice near Most. Do not look for a plastic kit in the package.
The cockpit of the MiG-35 is covered by a hinged canopy with a pronounced frame at the windscreen, so there is a fair amount of area to cover. The fuselage carries two vertical tails and blends smoothly into the wing, which gives the type the characteristic silhouette of the whole Fulcrum family. The production form of the aircraft was presented in 2017 and the manufacturer places it among machines of the 4++ generation.
Before you start masking, go over the glazing with a lint-free cloth and leave it free of grease. Seat the individual shapes with dry tweezers and work from one end to the other, so that the material does not ripple. Apply the paint in two or three light coats instead of one generous one. Removal is surest with an angled pull just after the last coat has flashed off.
This is a finishing accessory for a model that you obtain separately.
