1:48 Mikoyan MiG-35 is a full Eduard photo-etched set for a model of the Russian multirole combat aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is one of the more extensive photo-etched sets rather than one of the smaller Zoom versions. On modern combat aircraft the difference shows mainly in the number of panels, consoles and small covers that on plastic are only suggested by engraving. The set is fitted to a plastic model, which is obtained separately.
The MiG-35 is the latest branch of the development line that began with the MiG-29 frontline fighter. Against the original machine it has reworked avionics, a modern cockpit with large-area displays and a modified structure with a greater fuel load. The manufacturer presents it as a multirole type able to work against targets in the air and on the ground. The twin vertical tails and the air intakes protected against ingesting objects from the runway remain characteristic features.
A modern cockpit means a great many small facets that have to fit exactly; try them dry and only then glue them. Displays and panels come out well when a darker undercoat is laid beneath them. Leave the forward fuselage open as long as possible so that you have access to the work. Use a primer on the metal, or the paint will rub off during assembly.
The item supplements a model of the aircraft; on its own it is no substitute for one.
