This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains decals with small technical markings in the Czech language version. They are the labels of service panels and filler points, warnings by the rotors and the armament, and other service markings that appeared in Czech on machines operated in Czech service. The sheet is intended to finish a model in 1:48 scale that has already been built and painted; neither the kit nor paints are part of it.
The Mi-24V is the attack version of the well-known Soviet helicopter, combining fire support with the ability to carry a small group of troops. It can be told by its armored tandem cockpit with two separate canopies, its stub wings with pylons and its bulky fuselage with room for troops. Machines of this type were operated in Central Europe for decades, went through local overhauls and upgrades and, in connection with that, also received markings and labels in the language of the operator. It is exactly this language version that sets the set apart from sheets with Russian or English markings.
The surface has to be a smooth gloss coat, otherwise the small markings will silver. Cut the motifs out one by one close to the printing, soak them briefly and transfer them with tweezers. The fuselage of the helicopter has many bulges, covers and transitions, so count on a decal softener and on pushing the water out from the center outward. Work in sections and tick off the documentation as you go, because with technical markings it is easy to lose your place. At the end, unify the surface with a matte coat and, if you like, subdue the markings slightly with weathering, so that they do not look freshly printed.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
