This is a photo-etched set for detailing the outside of the Mil Mi-24V/VP attack helicopter in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model or a kit — it is an accessory made of thin metal sheet that replaces or complements the coarser plastic elements of the basic kit. Exterior sets usually bring fine grilles, covers, panels, hinges and other small details with a faithful thickness that is unattainable in injection-molded plastic. The set is designed for a particular plastic kit of the helicopter; check the compatibility against the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are separated straight from the fret with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors, bent over the edge of a table or in a modeling bending tool, and bonded with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with epoxy. Unpainted steel or brass parts should be degreased and given a primer before painting.
A detailing accessory; it is not a model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
