The Mi-8 is one of the most widespread twin-engined transport helicopters in the world. The Mi-8MT version is designated Mi-17 in its export guise, so it is the same machine under two names. It flies in dozens of countries in transport, assault and support roles, and is therefore available in a whole range of national finishes.
An add-on part from the Quickboost line for a kit of the Mi-8MT or Mi-17 helicopter in 1:48 scale: the external container of the equipment designated DISS-15. The manufacturer's instructions give its exact position on the machine and any modification of the kit parts; photographs of the particular airframe you are building are another guide. The set deals with a single spot on the model, so it goes well with other accessories and with your own modifications of the kit.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully so that the mating surface stays flat. Wash and degrease the part before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. Use cyanoacrylate glue. Choose the shade according to the finish of the whole machine and apply it in thin coats so that the small shapes stay visible.
The helicopter kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
