An injection-molded plastic kit of the French multirole fighter Dassault Mirage III E in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Italeri. The model captures the typical silhouette of the aircraft with its delta wing and offers decals for several executions, so a machine can be built in various national and unit markings.
From the beginning of the 1960s the Dassault Mirage III was among the most successful French fighters and was exported to a number of countries, where it took part in the conflicts of the 1970s and 1980s. The Mirage III E version was multirole, with a lengthened forward part of the fuselage for a new avionics system. Thanks to its Snecma Atar engine with an afterburner it exceeded Mach 2. The characteristic delta wing ensured high speed but called for longer landing runways.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, and finish the cockpit and the wheel bays before closing the fuselage. Coat the model over a primer, ideally with an airbrush; bring the polished and metal surfaces of the engine area to life with metallic paints. Apply the decals onto gloss varnish and then take the gloss off the whole model according to the look required.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
