This plastic kit from Academy represents the reconnaissance version of the Dassault Mirage III in 1:48 scale. The box holds injection-molded plastic and a decal sheet. The model has the characteristic delta wing and a revised nose for the reconnaissance equipment.
The Dassault Mirage III was a French single-seat supersonic fighter aircraft with a tailless delta wing, which became one of the most widespread machines of its generation. The IIIR version was intended for tactical photo reconnaissance and carried a battery of cameras in the nose instead of a radar. The Mirage III served with a number of air forces around the world.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. The delta wing calls for careful alignment and sanding of the joints. Apply the camouflage with an airbrush, use a gloss clear coat before the decals and finally even out the surface with a matte overcoat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
