A photo-etched add-on set in 1:48 for a model of the North American F-86F-40 Sabre fighter. It adds detail to the model that a plastic part cannot carry.
Responsibility details are not available.
The North American F-86 Sabre was an American fighter with a swept wing and the main opponent of Soviet fighters over Korea. The F version was among the most widespread and was built in several production blocks that differed mainly in the wing. The F-40 block received an extended span and leading-edge slats, thanks to which the aircraft handled flight at low speed better and landed more safely. Machines in this pattern served with foreign users as well, long after the end of the Korean War.
A photo-etched set in 1:48 for finishing off an F-86F-40 model. Thin metal sheet allows parts that would come out disproportionately thick in plastic, and it holds a sharp edge even where a plastic part would look coarse. The list of parts and the kit the set is prepared for is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface so that they do not bend. Try the bends dry first and only then pull them over the edge of a ruler. Cyanoacrylate glue in a small drop carried on the tip of a toothpick is what it is glued with. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer coat, or the paint will not hold on the smooth surface and will rub off during handling.
The aircraft kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
