A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line range in the Seaplane Grey shade. The name is accompanied by the reference codes FS26081 and ANA 625 for easily tracing the real-world shade.
Responsibility details are not available.
Seaplane Grey is a gray shade from the world of American naval aircraft. Two references accompany it in the name: FS26081 from the American federal standard of colors and ANA 625 from an older aeronautical standardized range. Using them, the shade can be compared with the data in building instructions and in publications on markings, which commonly quote these codes.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, ideally with a mixing ball, so that the pigment settled at the bottom joins with the binder. The thinner made for this range and the thinning ratio are given by the manufacturer on the packaging; follow it for spraying as well. Apply several thin coats rather than one heavy one; the coverage improves and the fine surface details are preserved. Let the paint set between coats. Wash the remains of paint out of a brush at once, as dried pigment is far harder to get out of the bristles.
Wash and degrease the model before painting and let it dry thoroughly. A primer helps adhesion, evens out a base made of different materials and reveals unfinished seams before the color coat covers them. Once the paint has dried, gloss varnish under the decals and a matte or semi-gloss varnish as the final treatment come in handy; only that unifies the sheen of the whole model.
The paint is intended for builders of plastic models who work to particular real-world shades and want their markings backed by a code. The thinner, brushes and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
