Colored photo-etched parts Eduard 1:48 P-39D/P-400 Airacobra for sharpening the cockpit and the interior of this American fighter. A modeling accessory for more experienced builders, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of fine photo-etched parts from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale, meant to raise the detail of the plastic kit of the P-39D/P-400 Airacobra fighter. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory that replaces or fills out the cockpit and the interior with more accurate elements. Some of the parts in sets of this kind come pre-printed in color for immediate use, while the supplementary photo-etched parts in brass are painted up.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter with an unusual layout: the Allison engine sat in the middle of the fuselage behind the pilot and drove the propeller through a long shaft running under the cockpit. A cannon was carried on the propeller axis. The P-400 version came about as an export variant. The Airacobra made its mark in the Pacific and in the colors of the Soviet Air Force.
The photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife on a surface and glued with super glue. The colored instrument panels and belts only need forming carefully and gluing on, while we recommend degreasing the bare brass parts and spraying them with a primer before gluing. Tweezers and a photo-etch bending tool make the work easier.
This is a modeling accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
