A resin detail accessory from Quickboost, made by Aires, in 1:72 scale. The set replaces the propeller with a more faithfully rendered resin part and holds a jig (a template) for setting the angle and the spacing of the blades accurately while gluing. It is not an aircraft model but a stand-alone accessory that raises the fidelity of the front of the machine.
The Lavochkin La-7 was a Soviet single-seat fighter of the late Second World War with a radial engine, one of the best-performing Soviet fighters of its day. The propeller with its spinner formed the front of the powerplant.
Wash the parts to remove any mold release residue, separate the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use the jig supplied to line the blades up in the correct plane before the glue sets. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
