Rob Taurus 1:48 P-40 M is a vacuum-formed clear canopy for building the American fighter. It is not a model of an aircraft but a refining accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Rob Taurus, intended for the P-40 M version. It replaces the production cockpit canopy with a thinner and optically cleaner part with crisper frames. It is not a model of an aircraft but a detail accessory.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American single-seat fighter of the Second World War, committed on many battlefields from North Africa through the Pacific to the Eastern Front. The P-40 M version belonged to the later engine variants with a lengthened fuselage. The machine also became famous for the characteristic shark mouths on its nose.
The molding is cut out with a sharp knife along the outline, and the edges are sanded and polished. The thin part allows the cockpit to be shown open. It is glued with glue for clear parts, which does not fog the plastic; the frames are masked before varnishing.
This is a standalone accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
