A set of 3D decals from Quinta Studio for detailing a cockpit quickly and faithfully. The elements are printed on backing decal paper, are three-dimensional and come finished in color — the instrument panel, the side consoles, the seat and the belts gain a realistic look the moment they are applied. The set is meant for models of the Republic P-47D-30 Thunderbolt. The target kit is MiniArt.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was an American single-seat fighter and ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War, one of the heaviest and toughest machines of its day. It was powered by a Pratt & Whitney radial engine and carried a heavy armament of machine guns. The D-30 version was among the late forms with the fully glazed teardrop canopy.
Degrease the surface and coat it with a gloss clear coat (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22). Cut the element out of the sheet, soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper onto the part of the model; it has no adhesive layer of its own and holds precisely on the gloss clear coat. Work with tweezers and a sharp knife; on intricate shapes cyanoacrylate helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, they will attack the printed resin. At the end the surfaces can be unified with a matte clear coat.
It holds interior decals only; the model, paints and glue are not included.
