European I Green is a dark green shade listed under the number FS 34092 and under the older aviation designation ANA 612. The name European I refers to the camouflage scheme that the US Air Force used on machines stationed in Europe: it consists of dark green areas and gray and was meant to hide an aircraft even seen from above against the European landscape. The shade is therefore dark and saturated, not grass-light.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom and an unmixed shade comes out other than it should. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions for this range. With an airbrush, lay down several thin coats and let each one set; a single heavy coat fills the engraving and wipes out the fine relief of the surface.
On bare plastic the paint holds best over a primer, which at the same time evens out a base made of different materials. Mark out sharp boundaries between the fields of the camouflage scheme with masking tape; a soft transition is sprayed from a short distance and at lower pressure. A gloss varnish belongs under the decals, as a silvery veil forms under the decal film on a matte surface. Clean the tools right after work with the thinner intended for this range.
The paint is supplied. Thinner, primer, varnishes and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
