A resin detail set, not an airplane model. This resin set from Aires in 1:48 scale brings a complete cockpit for the American Republic P-47D Thunderbolt fighter in the Razorback version, that is with the raised fuselage spine used before the bubble canopy was introduced. It replaces the simplified interior from the box with a faithful tub, instrument panel, side consoles and seat. The set is intended for experienced modelers; the base kit has to be bought separately.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was a massive American single-seat fighter and ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War with a powerful radial engine. The early P-47D versions had the so-called razorback – a raised spine behind the cockpit – and only later machines received the bubble canopy. The resin set captures the cockpit with its period instruments faithfully.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
