1:48 P-51D Early - 3D printed color decals of the interior (Airfix) from Quinta Studio will bring colorful, plastic detail into the cockpit of the Mustang without photo-etched parts.

The set holds 3D printed elements printed on decal paper, supplied already in color. It takes the place of photo-etched parts and resin accessories alike and deals with the interior, which is clearly seen under the bubble canopy of the Mustang. The set is cut for the Airfix kit in 1:48 scale, and the designation Early distinguishes it from the variant for the late form of the same model.
The North American P-51D Mustang was a single-seat fighter with a liquid-cooled V12 engine, a laminar-flow wing and a great range, which allowed it to escort bomber formations over distant targets. The bubble canopy gave the pilot an all-round view, and the modeler in turn the certainty that a worked-out interior will not be lost on a finished model.
The elements are transferred onto a cleaned surface coated with gloss varnish, to which they conform once they adhere. The element that has been cut out is laid in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds and slid off the carrier paper; the manufacturer prohibits a softener and a setting solution, as they would damage the printed resin layer. Unify the base beforehand with a darker shade, work with tweezers and finish the interior before you join the fuselage halves. A smooth, well polished base will markedly improve the result.
It is an accessory for detailing, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
