This plastic kit in 1:48 scale captures the famous light aircraft Piper J-3 Cub in the version with the markings of American services. The package combines injection-molded plastic parts with clear glazing parts, masks and several decal options. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Piper J-3 Cub is one of the best-known light aircraft in history. Its simple, reliable construction made it a legend of civil flying as well as of military support aviation. During the Second World War and after it, it served in many roles: liaison, observation, ambulance, courier and training. The characteristic yellow color known as Cub Yellow is one of its recognition features, but versions in American service carry other finishes as well.
A small aircraft rewards clean joints and fine sanding. The enclosed masks make masking the glazed cabin easier; paint the interior before closing the fuselage. Spray the simple fabric covering with an airbrush and apply the decals over a gloss varnish. Glue the thin struts and the landing gear with a light touch.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
